3 Signs Your Business is Ready for a Rebrand

If you’re reading this, it’s probably because you’re a few years into business and beginning to think that your current branding just isn’t cutting it anymore, and maybe you’re wondering if it’s time to consider investing in a rebrand.

Although you might be nervous, rebranding your business doesn't need to be stressful or scary – in fact, I believe it can be fun. Rebranding can have a large impact on not only your business’s success, but on you as well. Rebranding might be the fresh start you need to feel inspired, reigniting your passion for your business, realigning your goals, mission, and values, and elevating your business in a completely new way. By not rebranding, there’s a high chance that you’re hurting your business. A rebrand can, and should, give your business the fresh start it needs to continue to grow, and will help to attract your audience, increasing your sales.

So without further ado, here are three signs to look for, and some questions to consider, to help you determine if it's time to rebrand your business.

1. Your Business Has Evolved

It’s inevitable to grow and evolve over time. Your business goals, values, offerings, and ideal audience may change every few years, and that’s totally natural. Or, perhaps your product or services have evolved since starting your business, and you feel as though your current branding doesn’t reflect the level of quality you now offer.

To make sure your brand is on track with where your business is today and who you’re trying to speak to, ask yourself these questions:

  • Does my current brand align with my values and reflect my mission?

  • Does it speak directly to my target audience in a language they understand and relate to?

  • Does it reflect the quality of my products and/or the price-point of my services?

2. You Have A Problem In Your Business That You Need Help Solving

If you’ve noticed a problem in your business and tried to solve it on your own without success, it’s probably time to start exploring solutions that you can’t get on your own. Here’s a question to consider: Have you been able to grow in the way that you want to or at the speed you want to? Strategic design might be able to help to solve your problems in a creative way that you aren’t able to execute on your own.

3. You’re Struggling To Stand Out & Connect With Your Audience

A common problem businesses face as they grow is connecting with their ideal audience. Your brand needs to attract and align with your ideal audience, since your business solves a problem for them.

If you’re struggling to connect with your ideal audience, it may be time to take a good look at your branding and the role it's currently playing in your business. When you know on a deep level who your ideal clients or customers are, you can develop a brand identity that will attract and connect with them in a very rewarding way.
